Ladies,

We find ourselves once again preparing to enter a new year. Normally, I do not begin my Director’s Report with a quote, but it seems rather appropriate in this instance. American author Melody Beattie once said, “the new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.”  As you begin setting your mindset on what lies ahead, I challenge you to begin asking yourself what will fill the pages of your next chapter. In other words, what is the hope for you in 2022? What will you accomplish over the next 12 months?

Next year is going to be monumental for all of us at CWLI. 2022 is going to be a year full of opportunities for growth and for each of us to further discover our purpose and identity as leaders. As you well know, we are committed to providing the resources you need to elevate your leadership and accelerate your business. I can personally guarantee we will continue doing this in some exciting ways in the coming year. To begin with, we will finally open the doors to our state-of-the-art Legacy Center. We firmly believe that this co-working space is going to be a place where fresh ideas that are going to change the world around us are going to be birthed into existence. To make our vision of opening a space where female business owners and leaders can collaborate, grow capital and be a part of an ecosystem that elevates the talents of women a reality, we partnered with the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. Located in a premier downtown Chattanooga location, this center will feature office space, work stations, flex desks where women can pop in for a few days or even an entire month, a large conference center, a small conference room and a coffee bar to keep women caffeinated as they craft innovative ideas and bring their visions to life. I believe many female leaders are going to leave a legacy in this special place that we will be talking about for years to come. As part of our Membership Drive, you currently have the opportunity to win day passes to visit the Legacy Center in the coming year. For every friend you recommend who joins CWLI by December 31st, you will be entered to win three passes.

In January, we will also be kicking off our leadership program for the year. Over the course of 2022, the focus of our program will be “8 Steps to Your Leadership Rebuild.” When I say you do not want to miss this program, I truly mean you do not want to miss it. We have broken it down to where we will cover two steps each quarter. During Q1, we are going to begin by having you focus on you! Step one is all about hitting reset. You will learn, “practical tips to reset [your] life while gaining the foundational framework for the best you in 2022.” In step two, we will discuss presence. We’ll ask ourselves a question that is going to make each of us really dig deep to find the true answer. That question is, “how actively present are you as you go about your day?” Ladies, I know we would all love to say we are present all day, every day, but we all know this is not the case. We will wrap up Q1 on Thursday, March 24th with our long-awaited Symposium on Activating Diverse Talent. Get ready because we are kicking things into high gear as soon as the clock strikes midnight on January 1st.

It’s important to note that we have no plans to slow down after a very busy Q1. Instead, we are going to continue putting our foot to the gas as we move through the remainder of the year. During that time, we will dive into the other six steps:

  • Q2: Motivation & Focus
  • Q3: Intention (Effectiveness/ Priorities) & Stretch (Laboratory, Risk, Calculation)
  • Q4: Team/ Collaboration & Game Ready/ Readiness

By the end of 2022, you will be ready to enter 2023 as a stronger, more confident leader who can take on anything that is thrown at you. You can view our entire calendar and learn more about each of these steps and other events coming up by clicking here.

Ladies, I know we have covered a lot in this note, but I want you to know that I am beyond excited about what is to come for us as a whole and for each of you individually. Over the next few days, I encourage you to take some time to think about the question I asked you at the beginning: What is the hope for YOU in 2022?

Let’s Move FORward Together,

Kim
